Youtuber Vishal Sharma Beaten Up inside Train: 1 Unexpected Turn of Events After Overcharge Complaint

YouTuber Vishal Sharma was assaulted inside a train

YouTuber Vishal Sharma probably thought he was filming another relaxed travel vlog. But his Hemkunt Express ride turned into something out of an action film – with less popcorn bags and more bruises. He boarded the train on May 6, just hoping to travel from point A to point B. Instead, he became the hero of a real-life drama.

First red flag? The water bottle. Vishal Sharma paid ₹20 for a Wonder Aqua bottle, even though only Rail Neer (₹15) has been authorized for sale. When he dared to protest this daylight robbery, the vendor shrugged and essentially told him, “Deal with it.”

Coffee, noodles and chaos for Vishal Sharma

But our protagonist Vishal didn’t let up there. He also bought a coffee at ₹20 (authorized price: ₹10) and noodles for ₹50 (should have cost ₹40). So naturally, like any good citizen (and reasonable content producer), he complained through the RailMadad app.

Spoiler warning: That did not go down well with the onboard Avengers. Or perhaps we should say, villains.

Vishal Sharma attacked for telling the truth

Late in the night, a group of men stormed Vishal’s berth like it was a prison break. They shouted at him, climbed onto his seat, pulled his legs, and even tore his clothes. And all this – just because he complained of being charged too much.

One of the two people in a green polo shirt was the crowd hero, yelling at him to go down. Vishal Sharma kept telling him he did nothing wrong. What was his sin? Filing a complaint. Their response? Attack mode ON.

FIR filed, ₹5 lakh fine imposed after Vishal Sharma’s video goes viral

Vishal Sharma posted the gruesome video on X and YouTube, showing the moment he got attacked and how he was injured. Luckily, the internet worked its magic and the video went viral and made the Railways wake up.

Railway Seva replied, informing that they’ve imposed a fine of ₹5 lakh on the caterer and the GRP in Kathua has registered an FIR. IRCTC also informed that they’re investigating the issue seriously. Kudos to them, for no one should require self-defense training simply to travel by train.

Vishal Sharma demands justice – and we agree

This story is a loud cry-out that overcharging tourists is bad, but beating them up for complaining? That’s an entirely worse thing. Vishal Sharma paid for a bottle of water and noodles – not for a brawl scene.

Let us hope that the investigation bears true justice. And perhaps, just perhaps, train vendors will start selling at what they’re supposed to.
